Who we are

The Biedenharn family purchased Crescent C Ranch in 1987, carrying forward a legacy of ranching that stretches back generations. Since 1995, under the stewardship of Albert Biedenharn III and now his family, Crescent C has been a working ranch in the heart of South Texas brush country.

We believe ranching is more than raising livestock, it’s caring for the land, water, and wildlife that make this place whole. Our cattle are tools for restoring grasslands, building healthy soils, and maintaining habitat for native species. Adaptive grazing, deep respect for the land, and a commitment to regenerative practices guide everything we do.

Crescent C is a place where heritage meets stewardship, where families work the land not just for today, but to keep it thriving for generations to come.

This land is steeped in layered history, from the Coquats to the old Callaghan Ranch and back into the Fort Ewell years. Like much of South Texas, it carries an unmistakable mystique. On its face, it can seem a harsh, thorny country, a place that makes you earn your love for it. But the land of the Nueces Strip, the disputed territories, the Wild Horse Desert, always stirs the hearts of those who can listen for the whispering call of the wild.
